A leafy lace cowl neck dresses up this simple tunic that knits up quickly in chunky yarn. Instructions are provided for both short- and long-sleeved versions. Short-sleeved sweater modeled in photos 3 & 4 is being worn with an inch or two of positive ease.

Skills required:
 Long-tail and backwards loop cast ons
 Increasing
 Decreasing
 Picking up stitches
 Yarn overs
 Double decreases
 Sewn bind off
 Three-needle bind off
 Knitted on lace for the collar (tutorial)

Construction method used is the top-down, seamless, simultaneous set-in sleeve method that I’ve used in all my sweater patterns.

Yardage details (short sleeves/long sleeves):
34.25” - 725/980
36.5” - 775/1045
38.75” - 825/1110
41.25 - 875/1185
43.5” - 925/1260
45.75” - 975/1320
48” - 1025/1400

Use a yarn with some body for best results. When the lace cowl is knit in a softer yarn it may need to be tacked down to keep it in place.
