This versatile design features a textured lace border with a modern geometric pattern reminiscent of the graceful shapes of ocean waves. There are two shapes included in this pattern, an elongated triangle shawl and a rectangular stole. Both wraps are reversible and can be worn in many different ways. They can be simply wrapped around shoulders, they can be worn open as a long scarf or tied close around the neck for extra warmth – either way, these wraps are the perfect accessories for the cooler months.

The triangle shawl’s body is knitted in simple mix of stockinette and garter stitch, in one piece, starting at the center of the top edge. The shawl is shaped into a wide, shallow triangle with double increases at the center and along both edges. The stole features an interesting eyelet pattern reminiscent of water bubbles along one edge and the textured lace along the other edge. The lace border pattern combines a mix of knit and purl stitches for unique surface texture that is interest- ing on both sides, and easy enough even for a beginner lace knitter.

Both shapes can be worked successfully in a single color, see the stole sample in Navy, or using two closely-related colors like the triangle sample in Teal & Aqua.
