Designed in anticipation of Sock Summit 2009, this comfy baby blanket was inspired by the city of Portland, Oregon and the knitting charts in Barbara G. Walker’s Charted Knitting Designs: A Third Treasury (Schoolhouse Press, 1998).

Knit in one piece from two skeins of Classy, the blanket features alternating blocks of pine trees, seed stitch, peace symbols and hearts. Blocks are charted using the Kauri Knits font by Kauricat. A contrasting skein of Classy is used to work an attached i-cord border.

Updated 9/23/09: peace symbol chart numbering clarified. All cable crosses occur on the RS of the blanket (odd number rows).

10/09: Chart Key: Added WS moves for K2tog (P2tog) and SSK (P2tog tbl)
