Peacock is a non-stranded colorwork pattern. Techniques used: mosaic knitting, garter, centered increases/decreases, and (very) occasional wraps & turns. The pattern is charted, with some written instructions to guide you through the knitting process.
You can use solid or gradient yarn with slow color changes to avoid striping effect. Yarn with short color sections (~ 6-7cm) also looks interesting as long as all colors are in good contrast relative to the background.
One pattern repeat is approx 6.5 by 14 cm blocked. The prototype on photo (28 X 150) took 100g of MC, and 50g of CC (600 m total).
