This little functional piece of knitting serves two purposes - bookmark (for marking 1 or 2 pages) and pen/highlighter holder. You could also use it to hold a pair of reading glasses by slipping one end into the tube.

The gauge is flexible, since the exact size isn’t too important, making this a great pattern for using up leftover scraps!
