PENNY PIG TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
Penny Pig is a huggable squidgy knitted toy with a curly tail. This is a basic knitting pattern, ideal for beginner knitters or if you are new to making toys.
FINISHED SIZE: The pig is approximately 22cm high, although you can make a larger pig following this pattern and using a slightly larger needle size.
ABOUT THE PATTERN:
The pattern includes row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the pig with 13 photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 5 pages and written in English. The basic knitting pattern only requires you to know these stitches: knit, purl, a kfb increase and k2tog decrease.
TO KNIT YOUR PIG YOU WILL NEED THIS PATTERN AND:
All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight 3mm (US 3) knitting needles, and knitted in double knit (light worsted weight) yarns. The tail is an i-cord piece which is knitted on two DPNs.
