theknittingprimate has long being trying to perfect the slouchy hat… other knittingprimate hats have great slouch, but this simple stockinette hat takes the title

Sometimes simple is all you need. This hat is incredibly easy to knit, but the combination of the light fabric and oversized construction give it a beautiful look. The subtle colour variations and flecks of tweed in the recommended yarns give excellent depth to the hat. Any heather or tweed fingering weight yarn will give you the perfect slouch.

Blocking is essential to get the ‘just-right’ drape for this hat. Have a ballon on hand for best results.
