I wanted to make something that can be easy and fun to knit.

Crescent shape shawl, knitted in fingering weight yarn from the bottom up. Lace first, short rows second. And finished with I-cord bind off, to control curling…

Shawl can be worked from written instructions or charts.

  • I-cord will curl while you making it. It’s ok, don’t panic.
  • Run the thread for blocking under the i-cord. Flexible wires work too. If you don’t like that method, use the method you prefer.

Errata: written instructions: row 7 - end of repeat - center double decrease instead of s2kp.

Shining with a bright green glow even at night, peridot was called the “gem of the sun” by the ancient Egyptians and the “evening emerald” by Romans. It is said that used as a necklace it will protect you against negative emotions or negativity in general. It’s considered to be a tonic for the entire body and associated with stress reduction and relaxation. The peridot brings good luck, peace and success.
