The Persica shawl starts with a modernized version of an 1800’s rose medallion. The outer ring(s) are based on EZ’s Pi increases. The pattern has complete written instructions and charts. I have included instructions for two sizes. The photos show the smaller size on size 4 needles, but my swatches were done in sock weight without losing any of the stitch definition. The small lace version is 60” wide after blocking. A small sock/fingering weight should block out to 72”. I would consider the pattern intermediate or advanced beginner due to the intricacy of the lace.

It is available as a kit through Knottie-Girl Designs. Hard copies of individual pattens are also available through Knottie-Girl Designs (She also does custom dyeing!!!)
The kit will include your choice of two different lace weight yarns or fingering weight yarn and a hard copy of the pattern.

Additional hard copies will be available through Woven Arts in East Lansing, MI.

Please note that there will need to be a stitch moved over 1 spot for the edge chart, if doing the larger size. It isn’t indicated on the pattern and will work fine without moving, but it will line up nicer if moved.

ERRATA:
Round 31 should start with K3, not K2
Round 33: MM, K2, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, k2, SK2P work * to * a total of eight times

The 8 in the first section of the written directions should be a 4. The charts are correct.
