This adorably huggable piggy is smartly dressed in their bow tie, with a backpack for storing Easter treats. This pig is knit in soft plush chenille yarns using stockinette and garter stitch. The two legs are knit separately and sewn on, so you can decide whether to make your pig in a seated or standing pose.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the pig is knit on single pointed needles (not in the round). This pattern is designed specifically for knitting in chenille yarns. Chenille is a cosy soft yarn (usually 100% polyester) that makes super soft and cuddly toys.

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Happy Chenille (100% polyester), DK weight (double knitting/light worsted weight), up to 25g in each shade.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and domed buttons for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 25cm tall (seated).

TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include knitting stripes, seaming, increases and decreases.
