ALTHOUGH this is attached to a silk petticoat the yoke can be used for a vest, or nightdress. One and a half reels Fibrone No. 20. No. 10 needles.

The knitter will find the pattern easy to work, and the finished result much nicer, if she knits very loosely. This gives the lacey appearance to the silk. A person, who cannot knit loosely, should use coarser needles and the result should be the same.

Most patterns for yokes are for crochet, so it is interesting to to find directions for a knitted yoke. A fine #20 crochet cotton can be used; the recommended thread is Pearsall’s Fibrone No. 20. No measurements or gauge are given.
