This shawlette, which uses 320 yards of a heavy DK/light worsted wool/acrylic blend, is a stunning knit. The design (charted and row-by-row) is easy to “read” so you’re not tied to the instructions but can sit back and enjoy the knitting.

The sample shown used a full skein of Marks & Kattens Big Trend -- I literally was left with less than a yard after binding off.

The final shawlette measures approx 18-inches from neck to hem; inner edge is 20-inches, while the outer edge measures approx 120-inches.

The Phoenix Ascending shawl starts with a garter tab and then you’ll start working back and forth on six sections, being sure to keep the first and last five sts in garter. You’ll follow the pattern around until you have finished and BO loosely.
