Pig in a blanket
I think my boys’ favourite part of Christmas dinner are the pigs in a
blanket—those crispy little sausages wrapped in golden bacon never last long on their plates! It’s become a bit of a festive tradition: the moment the tray hits the table, their eyes light up and the countdown to the last one begins.
Which is kind of ironic, really, because my youngest is absolutely smitten with piglets. He has a whole collection of plush pigs, and he once spent an entire summer trying to convince us to adopt one as a pet. He even named it in advance—“Chris P. Bacon,” in case you’re wondering.
So luckily, this particular piglet in a blanket isn’t the edible kind!
