Ham up the kitchen and bath with this pig inspired pattern! Inspiration for the design comes from a friend whose family breeds show pigs.

Use cotton, hemp or linen for dishcloths and washcloths or try felting wools for hot pads. Vary the gauge with your yarn and needles to adjust the cloth size.

The pattern is a great way to use up small quantities of leftover yarn; you can use more than one background color or try variegated and self-striping yarns. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the pattern will reveal itself.

This quick knit offers a fun respite from longer projects and provides useful household linens and great gifts.

The mosaic pattern involves garter and slipped stitches using one strand of yarn for two rows at a time (switching color strands every two rows).

Make this project with either the chart or the full-written pattern, both written and charted instructions are provided.
