Skills required
This is a project for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches, and simple shapings.

Materials required
You will need:
• one pair of 9mm (US13) straight needles
• a tapestry needle for sewing up
• row counter and stitch markers.

Tension
• 11 sts x 18 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) in garter st using 9mm (US 13) needles.
• 13 sts x 18 rows in stocking st using 7mm needles as recommended on the ball band.
