These legwarmers are meant to be warm, with full coverage right up to the knee, if not a bit over.

I love this stitch pattern that is from Barbara Walker’s first Treasury. I wish I could say shaping in this stitch pattern came easily to me, but for some reason I struggled. Until I didn’t. The shaping is just below the calf, fairly subtle, 8 stitches worth actually.

You have to be able to read a chart to make these. You will need to know how to knit in the round (they are described for dpns, but I am sure you magic loopers can adapt it). Knit stitches, purl stitches, decrease while purling, cast on, bind off, that’s all you need to know.
