I’ve recently been more ambitious about writing up my knitting designs and posting them here. I used to just keep notes on little scraps of paper as I worked along, which I then threw away as soon as I finished the project. I’ve been knitting this way since I was 9 years old.
Lately I’ve been enjoying the challenge of clear communication in documenting my designs, via the written pattern directions, schematic drawings, and video tutorials.
Years ago, before I had children (who are now in their twenties), I was a commercial artist. Graphic design and illustration. I kind of feel as though I am getting back to visual communication through working out my knitting patterns. And I am enjoying it.
If you like my stuff, but don’t feel like knitting it yourself, I have some finished objects for sale on Etsy. My shop there is named wendyeaston.
