What am I missing?
Pinwheel
Design emulates a traditional quilt pattern. The yarns used are fluffy, so when knit at a larger gauge, make a lightweight, warm lap blanket. Instructions also provided to make a lap blanket of approximately the same size, but with smaller yarn and needles, and twice as many stitches and rows.
Alternate yarn suggestions: Brunswick Windmist, or something comparable.
Start out by knitting a miter. Stitches are picked up along one edge of miter to form part of the border to the left of the first pinwheel, then another miter is knit onto those live stitches. Blanket is formed by picking up stitches along tops and edges of previously knit sections. No sewing!
