These lacy summer socks have very few purl stitches, and at least half of the stitches on every row are simple stockinette, making them fast and easy to knit.

I knit these for my size 6-1/2 foot, and used just under 250 yards of yarn, so most people should be able to knit these socks with 2 balls of sock yarn.

These socks are intentionally a trifle loose around my narrow ankle. If you don’t like that feeling, then you may want to knit a 2x2 rib at the top instead of the picot edge.

I often have to go down a needle size to get gauge, even with socks. If you don’t, then you may have to go up a needle size to get gauge for this pattern.

Update: Pattern now includes both written and charted stitch instructions.
