This is an easy, stretchy, cute, and sassy bonnet with an adorable pixie point at the back for any little girl up to 18 months old. The shaping is approached in a different way to end up with a bonnet that feels good to your baby. It’s all knit… you don’t even need to purl!

This lovely bonnet molds to the baby’s head and fits nicely! There is a small amount of short row shaping. Don’t let that scare you, it’s very easy. Complete instructions are included along with a photo tutorial for picking up the wraps and knitting them with the stitch.

It stretches easily to fit 15” to 19” head circumference; newborn to 18 months old. There are directions for making the ribbon “flower” ties on the sides with a photo tutorial. You can also use plain ribbon without adding the decorative “flowers” or use 4-stitch st st i-cords.

These are quick to knit and can be made in multiples for much appreciated baby shower gifts. Also great for charity donations.

You have the option of using 2 strands of fingering (400 yds) held together throughout or 1 strand of dk weight yarn (200 yds). The red hat is worked with 1 strand of dk weight. The peach colored hat is worked with 2 strands of fingering weight held together. Also needed are 2 - 30”/76.2cm lengths of ½”/1.3cm satin ribbon in color of your choice and sewing needle and thread to match the color of the ribbon or bonnet.
