Here’s a pattern that’s a little nice and a little naughty. It has an overall flower pattern with Miyuki size 6/0 beads and “Swarovski Crystal Buttons” in black rhodium finish in color Black Diamond with black rhodium finish (3mm) from Crystaletts. On closer inspection, you will notice that the center of the flowers are little “Micro Spikes” from Crystaletts. These spikes and beads are new on the market and fabulous! The cool little spikes are not big enough to hurt yourself on them, but big enough to look a little dangerous. The buttons and spikes are hooked onto the knitting with a size US 13/14 steel crochet hook, just like the beads - very easy!

I used ultra soft “Finito” from Malabrigo in color Cereza. It takes most of one skein, using the yarn doubled throughout. So these are extra comfy and luxurious. Finito is the first shearing of the Merino lambs and is very fine.

We will be carrying these crystals and spikes in our shop, Hands On Knitting Center, so if you cannot find them, contact us.
