Born on Vancouver Island and influenced by the Art of all the Coastal Nations - this pattern, Plaid Spirit Headband, is the second in a new line of patterns - The Salish Sea Collection - a line of patterns that celebrates the West Coast and the Cowichan style of knitting.

Don’t like hats? This fun and functional headband will keep your ears and forehead warm on those cold Winter days. Shaped with a couple of short-rows and increases and decreases, knit this headband plain for a quick and easy project – or play with the colours and use up the scraps of yarn we always have left over!

A nod to my heritage - In 1916, my Grandmother and Grandfather came over from Lochgelly Scotland, to Nanaimo so that my Grandfather could work the coal face.
