Crunchy forest texture for a walk in the misty woods…

The great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and its inspiring Coastal knitting tradition is reflected in this hearty shawl collared cardigan.

Using elegant but easy-to-work top-down techniques, this cardigan starts with a collar and continues as stitches are added for a raglan construction with no seaming and minimal finishing.

PNW #1 is decorated with a raised stitch motif on the fronts and back and uses heavy worsted gauge yarn for definition and ease-in-making.

The cardigan can also be made without the motifs for a versatile Plain Version – instructions included for optional pockets.

Want it even longer? The oatmeal plain version in the last picture on the left was made with an extra skein (~210 yds) and is 30” long.
