This is another Purl &Jane first, it’s the first pattern almost entirely designed in the round. It is knitted from the bottom up, in the round, until the stitch pattern at the top of the garment. The knitter will then divide back and fronts and work in rows on these. The neck and sleeves are then worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up along the armhole edge and then knitted in the round from the top to the cuff. This is great for the longevity of the jumper as, if the cuffs wear out you can undo and reknit them. It is also good for knitting the sleeves to you personal length. You may notice that there are just two actual chest sizes but four size options in total. This is because the jumper is designed to fit many body shapes, so it can be oversized or just fitting depending on your size but by changing the length it will work with many different shapes. It’s the length of the stitch pattern that creates the right look for the different sizes.

For this pattern I used:

11(12:14:15) 50g balls of Mohair Tweed (70% merino/30% mohair, 110m/120yds per 50g)

NEEDLES
3.75mm circular knitting needle :: 40cm length
4mm circular knitting needle :: 40cm and 100cm length.

GAUGE (TENSION)
19 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.

21 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm/4ins squares over rib & cable pattern using 4mm needles.
