Everybody knows this iconic hairstyle worn by the lovely Princess Leia. One look, and it is instant recognition. I made this hat because I need a wig for a Leia costume, but I decided to make it double as a funny earflap hat… It is very warm! Not just for Halloween anymore, it is guaranteed to bring chuckles and comments all season long. :)

This hat is constructed as two separate sides, knit flat from the top down, and then sewn together to create a middle seam. The ribbing comes out from this seam all along the centerline of the head, so it looks more like hair being parted and pulled to each side. I hope you have as much fun knitting this cheeky hat as you will have wearing it!

Finished Size: 22” circumference (11” wide when laid flat).
8” from top to bottom edge of cap portion. Buns extend 2
1/2” below edge. I have a pretty typical woman-sized head, and my husband has a pretty typical man-sized head, and it fits both of us. :)
