Puck’s Glen in Argyll, Scotland, has magical trail that winds along a woodland walkway up a dramatic, rocky gorge that is said to be home to mischievous spirits.

This is my third scarf design, featuring a combination of cable stitches, a textured broad border and knitted fringed at beginning and end of the scarf.

The scarf shown is made with approximately 770 yd (700 m) of worsted weight wool blend yarn in lively combination of colours. It looks good in single colours, too.

The finished size is 13” (33 cm) wide and 70.75” (180 cm) long.

The instructions are given for one size only, but the shawl size is easily adaptable by working fewer or more repeats of the cable patterns.

The instructions are both charted and fully written.
