Pumpkin Patch is a remembrance of my childhood. In the town I grew up we had a Pumpkin Festival every October. As kids we couldn’t wait to go. First it was the excitement of going as small children, with our parents. Then it was growing up and looking forward to going with our highschool friends. One year our youth group had entered a float into the Pumpkin Festival parade. We had to complete it before we could go to the festival. I remember taking a break and looking out over the festival. I was so excited, I jumped up… and landed on a board with a rusty nail coming out of it. Needless to say, I didn’t go to the festival that year.

The front of the sock has a vine pattern going up the front of the leg- to represent pumpkin vines. The back of the leg has pumpkin cables to represent the pumpkins.
