Named after the delicate rain chains, or kusari doi, commonly viewed in Asian Gardens, these pretty socks will have you ready for a night on the town or just looking hip at the office. With the perfect balance of cables and ribbing, the design provides just the right combination of complex and simple stitches, resulting in a very comfortable fit.

Pattern is best suited for solid or semi-solid colors in light to medium tones. Pattern detail may be difficult to appreciate in darker or variegated colors.

Note regarding needle size: Gauge was achieved using 2.75mm needles. The equivalent US sizing can vary by manufacturer; 2.75mm needles may be noted as either US1.5 or US2.

Pattern is written for three sizes: Small, Medium, Large and approximate yardage required is 340 yards, 380 yards and 420 yards respectively.
