Needles and notions
Hat sizes 32.5cm to 40cm will need to be knit using your preferred small circumference method of knitting such as 30cm needles, DPN’s, Crazy trios or Magic Loop. All other sizes can be knit on 40cm/ 16” circular needles until the crown decreases.

4ply/fingering weight yarn:
• 2.75mm and 3.25mm circular needles
(or a needle size required to achieve gauge, plus a second needle two sizes smaller than this)

8ply/DK weight yarn:
• 3.5mm and 4mm circular needles
(or a needle size required to achieve gauge, plus a second needle two sizes smaller than this)

Both yarn weights:
• For the crown decreases, one set of needles in the larger size to perform your preferred small circumference method (DPN’s, Crazy trios, Magic loop)
• 1 x stitch marker
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Darning needle
• Balloon for blocking
