A fair-isle hat with people, umbrellas and rain. It fits a little bit slouchy, and it’s lovely and warm, with a fleece lining. It is knitted up relatively quickly due to being knitted in aran yarn. The pattern is partly written and party charted (colour work sections only), the charts are easy to follow and not intimidating, once you get the hang of it.

The pattern is written for one size only, but you can increase or decrease the size simply by adding or subtracting stitches in multiples of eight. If you wanted it slouchier you can just keep knitting after the colour work has finished until it has reached desired length, then start the decreases.

You will need three different colours of aran yarn, one main colour, one contrast colour and a second contrast colour that is used to a lesser degree. For the second contrast colours generous left overs from a previous project will probably do, for the other two colours a full ball is recommended.

That’s probably all I have to say here! Have fun :)
