The two-color stranded colorwork in this hat and scarf set is based on a bit of wrought iron seen in a 1983 episode of Simon & Simon entitled “Red Dog Blues.” A lattice-like band circles the brim and a bright star graces the crown. Depending on the colors used, the design is appropriate for men, women, or children. The hat includes six sizes from baby through XL adult.

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The only skills you need are knit and purl, following a colorwork pattern, and decreasing. The colorwork pattern is provided in charted form only.
