This shawl is actually half of the double-sided shawl that makes up winter in the shade. Thinking that some people might prefer to knit one side or the other as a regular shawl, I’ve included pdfs for both of these variations in the eBook March Winds for the price of one shawl. If you are interested in purchasing this pattern, you just need to purchase the eBook - all 3 pdfs will be available for you to download.

Instructions are given for a fingering-weight shawl in the gauge and yardage given. If you are interested in knitting it at a different weight/size, see my blog post here about estimating yardage requirements. If you’d prefer to knit it top-down (which gives you more flexibility on yardage), you could use the Dogwood Spring directions, substituting garter stitch for the textured stitches.

Skills required:
• Right and left twists
• Decreasing

Sample knit in Miss Babs Caroline in Karabiber.
