The Reeds and Rushes Cowl was inspired by the walks my wife and I take around the lake every evening. Strong segmented vertical lines weave around the cowl in a bed of garter stitch, much like a woven reed basket. This project is a quick and interesting knit, perfect for small quantities of sport weight yarn. This particular cowl was made using handspun from a tutorial on the Schacht Spindle Blog on another way to fractal spin.

Yarn: 140 yards of sport-weight yarn.
Needles: US size 4 (3.5mm)
Gauge: 6 stitches per inch
Finished Size: 6” by 22” (11” in the round)
