This brooch is made in 3 parts, which are sewn together. It is intended to resemble a wild poppy, with its layered petals and rough leaves. Pattern directions are given in British English terminology, with American English equivalents noted where appropriate.

The pattern should be suitable for confident beginners; it uses dc (US sc) and htr (US hdc) stitches. The flower is worked in rounds for the centres and rows for the petals. The leaf is worked in rows.

£0.20 from each Remembrance Poppy Brooch pattern sold will be donated to the Poppy Appeal by The Royal British Legion.

News Updates: Up till 11 Nov 2013, I sold 18 patterns (plus one poppy brooch that I made as a special request) and raised £4.60 GBP. That was donated to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal on 12 Nov 2013. :) I’m very happy and deeply grateful for the support! Any further poppy pattern sales will now probably accrue donations till next year - unless otherwise notified. xx

As of 27 December 2015, I sold 38 patterns since my last donation (including 27 this year). I have thus donated the current accumulated funds of £7.60 GBP today! :) Thank you for your continued support! <3

As of 30 October 2016, there’s currently £0.60 GBP accruing in my Poppy fund. x
