Renilda collar is a collar shaped cowl, the perfect accessory for wearing under your coat in winter or over a shirt on a cool evening, more convenient than a scarf or shawl as you won’t need to hold it in place if a breeze springs up. Designed to sit snugly on the neck, covering the upper back and shoulders the buttons at the front allow you to decide how much coverage you get here.

The pattern includes full written instructions, along with a complete chart.

Completed relaxed dimensions of the collar knit as per the pattern - Neck edge – 40 cm or 16 inches
Length is 22 cm/9 inches

Gauge is not critical for the collar but will affect the fit and yarn requirement.

Easily knit the complete collar as per the pattern out of 1 skein of Knit Picks Preciosa, which apparently is very generous.
Some of my testers ran short of yarn but were able to finish successfully by omitting the final rows of the pattern.

You may substitute 8 ply/DK weight yarn for a slightly lighter and shorter collar, which is still very cosy.

This pattern has been successfully test knit thanks to some very generous knitters.
