♫ The Music ♫
A toe-tapping tune, The Return of Spring Polka is just the ticket to banish those winter blues, as is this cheerful cable-and-lace shawl. Delicate stitches create lovely meandering motifs which open the door to the joys that Spring will bring. Colour inspiration? Spring flowers are just bursting with suggestions!

Pattern Notes
This crescent-shaped shawl is knit side to side; sizes are adjusted by working extra repeats in the central portion. The shawl begins with an I-Cord Cast On and ends with an I-Cord Bind Off. Stitches are initially increased between the outer edging and the main lace panel; once the main lace panel is established, stitches are increased between the main lace panel and the left I-Cord edge to create the upper-back Garter stitch section. Decreases are worked in the same manner to taper the shawl at the far end. When blocking the lower edge, only each point needs to be pinned or placed on blocking wires.

Both charts and written directions for charts are provided.
