When my local crafts store advertised a sale on one of my favorite yarns, Lion Brand’s “Wool Ease,” I picked up one ball each of several lovely colors with the intention of designing a hat for each color. My “Ribby Lacy Slouchy Hat” is what I designed for the pale rose pink called Blush Heather. The hat is divided into two stitches: a seeded rib for the band and what I call the Ribby Lacy Stitch for the body.

If you can knit in the round with circular and double pointed needles, this should be an easy knit for you. Both stitch patterns are 4-stitch repeats and are easily remembered once you’ve knit a few rounds and established the pattern.

I want you to have fun knitting up the project and end up with a lovely completed hat, so as with all my designs, I’m available to answer any questions you may have as you work up my design.
