This pattern was inspired by my sister and her wedding. As I was sitting in the parking lot of the chapel waiting for the rehearsal to get started, I sketched out the rough outline of what I wanted the cable pattern to look like. I’ve wanted to design a pair of gloves for a long time, so I took the creative queue and went for it.

I wanted to experiment with different techniques to make the cable patterns pop off the backgrounds of the glove, so I did both a knit and purl version of the gloves. You can mix and match the two and have fraternal gloves or two of the same kind, it is your choice. The charts for the back of each of the gloves are provided along with the written instructions. The pattern was written using two circular needles, but magic loop can also be used. The pattern as written will produced a glove with zero ease for a medium women’s hand and negative ease for a large woman’s hand.
