Note: Rio de Dos Historias is part of the $20 ebook and is not available as a single pattern. It is quite possibly my favorite thing I have ever knit.

This bird-like Tilde evolved during eleven days in November of
2014, in Cusco, Peru, when I stayed on after my brother Pecos
and our travelers had flown home. In this culture, skillful hands
are revered because the knowledge they share can sustain life and
traditions like a bottomless bag of gold. I spent my days with old
and new friends, sitting side by side on Incan stonework or in
markets, sharing techniques and tales, and asking my companions
to make the Tilde’s design decisions. I’ll share some stories, and
then the recipe to make your own Rio de Dos Historias.
