Needles
5.5 mm (US 9) 1 x 80 cm (30”) (or longer) circular. You will be using this straight throughout.

Stitch holder
4 stitch markers
4 small safety pins
4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7) x 2 cm (.8”) buttons.

Gauge
20 sts x 22 rows in 2 x 2 rib pattern blocked to a pleasing width = 10 cm (4”)

a lofty wool based yarn will give the best results
