My friend in Barcelona recently adopted a greyhound from a rescue organization. Her name is Rona and she was used for hunting, then abandoned to starve and die. Happily, a rescue organization saved her life and took care of her until she was well enough to be adopted by my friend. They are both very happy! My friend asked me to come up with a neck snood to protect Rona’s neck from the winter chill, so I came up with Rona’s Easy Striped Greyhound Neck Snood. It has a slit so that the leash can easily go through.

Included in the pattern are instructions for obtaining a clean crisp line when changing colors on a rib AND step by step advice on how to execute a perfect jogless join, which hides the color join in circular knitting. Did you know that knitting in the round is not knitting in circles? It’s knitting in spirals! Unless you hide the join with the appropriate maneuver, the color change will be sadly evidenced by a “step” or jog in the fabric on every round that you’ve changed colors.

As with all my designs, if you have any questions as you work up the design, please Email me at the address listed on the pattern. I want you to have fun and end up with a snood that you and your dog will love.

Thank you!

NOTE: I’d like to thank my Buyer “Distaff” for giving me permission to use her photo of her dog wearing the snood she made!!
