Ah, summer! The sweet scent of roses drifts on the wind, and in the garden, strawberries, glossy and ripe, wait to be picked. This is the time of warm evenings and long, lazy days. In 2016, the Rose Moon falls on June 20, right before the summer solstice.

Rose Moon uses a simple twisted stitch to give its body texture, and features three border options, each using an arching lace pattern reminiscent of a rose arbour.

The sample (50 row border version) was knit with Ancient Arts Fibre Craft’s 3 ply sock yarn (colour: Kitten Nose Pink) and measures 16.5” (42 cm) deep, 80” (203 cm) along the straight edge, and 100” (254 cm) along the curved edge.
