These gently rotating ribs are both fun to knit and provide visual interest that are a perfect complement for any yarn from semi-solid to variegated to self-striping. A unisex design, this cuff down pattern includes instructions for both a right rotating and a left rotating sock, so your feet can go in different directions (so to speak!), or you can knit both in the same direction…your choice!

Sizes are small (ladies’ medium/men’s small) and large (ladies’ large/men’s medium), 7” and 8 3/7” circumference respectively, unstretched. Being a ribbed sock, it will stretch.

This pattern is written for Magic Loop or two circulars. This is a cuff down sock.

Charts for both the Right and Left Rotation Rib Pattern as well as the Small and Large Heel Flaps are provided on the last page of the pattern.

Note that a revised version (rev1) of this pattern was uploaded on 8/19/2012. It fixed problems found in the Right Rotating Rib Sock directions on the lines for Rounds 7 & 8 and Rounds 9 & 10
