Simple modular squares bring this blanket to life. The squares are easy to knit and as you work them you will weave in the ends of the yarn each time you make a square, so there is very little weaving in at the end. Very little, honest! The garter stitch border takes care of most of the rest of the ends since you can weave ends in as you pick up the border!

Finished Size: Varies based on yarn and how many blocks you make your blanket. The sport weight baby blanket is approximately 3’ x 3’ while the worsted weight blanket is approximately 3’ x 4’.

•For sport weight baby blanket, ~ 1200 – 1600 yards; 600 – 800 yds of each color. Yarn used was Bernat’s Softee Baby (455 yds/140 g, acrylic) in “His Jeans Ombre” and “Baby Denim” (discontinued colorway).
•For worsted weight baby blanket, ~ 980 yards. Yarn used was Knit One Crochet Too’s Ty-Dy (196 yds/100 g, 100% cotton) in colorway 767 (rainbow); 4.5 skeins were used.
