Stranded pattern with gusset built in and cuff. Complete charts for each hand. 4.5”- 5” across upper mitten, 10.5-12” length.
Saint Olav died from wounds of 2 broad-axes thus
the cross with the 2 axes. He is still the patron saint
of Norway ( King Olav II)
I purchased the little pewter cross where he is
buried at the Nidaros Dom in Trondheim.
Norwegian translation included.
This pattern takes 1 50g ball each of 2 colors of Finullgarn or
fingering wool.
I used both 2.5mm US 1.5, and 2.75mm US 2 needles.
