I got the idea for these socks after Jennifer Jett of Woolgirl.com sent me a postcard of a lovely Japanese painting of cherry trees to use as inspiration for a design I was working on for her Woolgirl Sock Club. I ran a cherry tree motif up the back of the sock and nearly lost my mind working out the lace pattern for the instep. I finally managed to get it to look just how I wanted it and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I hope you are as delighted by them as I am!
