Chrissy Gardiner
Howdy! I am a knitwear designer and obsessive sock knitter (needless to say, most of my published patterns are for socks…). I’ve had patterns published in most of the major knitting mags, including Knitter’s, Creative Knitting, Interweave Knits, Cast-On and Knitscene, and have contributed to several knitting books. I’ve also designed stuff for Blue Moon Fiber Arts & Classic Elite along with socks for a bunch of indie sock clubs.
I have a line of indie patterns, available through Ravelry and from a number of independent retailers. If that’s not enough, I recently published my first book, called Toe-Up! Patterns and Worksheets to Whip Your Sock Knitting Into Shape, and am working hard on my second, Indie Socks, to be published (hopefully) by the end of 2011.
All patterns in the Gardiner Yarn Works line have been tested by paid test knitters and reviewed by two professional tech editors. Errata is posted on our website, including a downloadable correction sheet that you can paste into your original pattern. We are always happy to answer any questions or concerns either by e-mail to support@gardineryarnworks.com or via PM.
FYI for crafters We are happy to have crafters make an unlimited number of items from Gardiner Yarn Works patterns for charity and/or profit, nor do we mind if our patterns are used for classes (in fact, we love it!) as long as our copyright is respected and each user of the pattern purchases their own copy as required under current US copyright law. If you have an older version of one of our patterns, please ignore the “fine print” section. Please PM me (chrissyg) if you have any questions about using our patterns. Thanks! :)
