The Gansey-inspired Salmon Brook Cap begins with generous ribbing before combining all-over texture and cables in a classic style. This unisex hat can be worn like a watch cap with the brim folded or slouchy with the brim unfolded.

Size:

One size fits an average head – the ribbing is elastic enough to hug a smaller head, but stretchy enough for most.
(finished hat measures 18” around at widest point – above ribbing, unstretched)

Fingering weight yarn – approximately 260 yards for pattern as written.

Gray hat is Erika Knight WOOL LOCAL (100g/492yds)
Rust hat is Berroco ULTRA WOOL FINE (100g/400yds)

Needles:
