ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Salt River Sweater combines an asymmetric center front cable panel with top-down construction and a stockinette stitch body. Salt River is a simple top-down seamless raglan with positive ease and subtle shaping for a relaxed fit. Named after the Salt River Basin in Arizona because the cables evoke the dry river beds and arroyos that make up this water basin most of the year. Once living river corridors, the river beds only fill with water and quickly drain during the Monsoon rains now. Written in 7 sizes. Cables charted and written.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 1100 (1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700) yds
(1000 (1100, 1190, 1280, 1370, 1470, 1560) m) DK weight
Sample is a Size L and used 530 g or just under 1320 yards of Valley Yarns Northfield (70% Merino, 20% Baby Alpaca, 10% Silk) in the color 03 Chestnut.
Needles: US size 6 (4.0 mm) circular needle and dpns (or size needed to get gauge), US size 4 (3.5 mm) dpns for sleeve ribbing and neck I-cord
Notions: 6 stitch markers (one unique), dpn or cn for cables, tapestry needle, 2 stitch holders or scrap yarn

GAUGE
22 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st on larger needles after blocking
