This pattern is for a cute, stripey slouchy beanie featuring a variety of textured stitches, including a special surface braid stitch, and a subtle ribbed brim. This hat has tons of texture and interesting stitches to keep you captivated as you crochet! The color possibilities for this hat are endless; use one or many colors, or use a self-striping yarn for a gradient effect! The pattern comes with easy to follow step-by-step instructions and helpful, clear photos.

Skill Level: Intermediate (Requires knowledge of sc, hdc, hdc BLO, dc and FLO sc).

Size: One size fits most. Hat brim measures approximately 17.5” around (and will stretch) and 1.75” wide. Finished hat measures approximately 10-11” long.

Materials:
-A total of approximately 200 yards worsted weight yarn in one or more colors. Purple/green/blue example uses 50 yards Paton’s Classic Wool in Aran and 150 yards Red Heart Boutique Treasure in Watercolors. Purple/grey/cream example uses 200 yards Paton’s Classic wool (60 yards Wisteria, 50 yards Aran, and less than 50 yards each of Royal Purple and Grey Mix)

Tools:
-Hook: Size H/8 (5mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
-Yarn needle
-Tape measure
